Visiting Researcher Program: Social Environment Cluster is the proud host of The 2021 Visiting Researcher Program, the first joint research and publication of School of Environmental Science Universitas Indonesia with other faculties within Universitas Indonesia and other universities and research institutions. The first batch held on national level during pandemic sets as foundation for further collaboration with international institutions in the environmental field. This program allows researchers with doctoral degrees from various academic backgrounds to conduct research and/or publications together with School of Environmental Science Universitas Indonesia with a particular point of view: social paradigm. Since environmental concerns need more than natural science and engineering solutions, understanding the social aspects of these is instrumental

The program welcomes researchers or lecturers who are employed at a university or a research institution for a virtual visit for an eight month period, April to December 2021. To ensure article publication, this program provides assistance in chosen research activities of joint research, external article writing, and additional external writing. At the end of the program, researchers will accept certificates and publications in reputable international journals in accordance with the selected quadrant classification and authorship guidelines. Further, the program attempts to boost research by conducting: consultation, author fact file analysis, international symposium event in September 2021 together with the Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development of School of Environmental Science Universitas Indonesia and other events, and author branding assistance in social media platforms linked to Social Environment Cluster.
